Note: Writing about interiors feels pretty ridiculous right now, but I think it serves a purpose. There are many ways to approach our homes mindfully. Embracing smaller spaces, repurposing, choosing local, sticking to handmade and/or used goods, and sharing resources are all ways to look out for each other and our one shared home.


Smaller residences can present a noteworthy hurdle for maintaining a simplified space that doesn’t require regular decluttering:

When there’s (very) limited space to store miscellaneous items for future reuse and repurposing, how can we gradually and responsibly adapt our homes by using what we have on-hand without simultaneously creating clutter?
