I’m glad you’re here— it feels like I’m welcoming you into our 900 sqft home, except there’s a bit more space and a lot less dog hair.

I started Rightsizing because I believe that home design should account for more than just the spaces within our walls. It should also consider the spaces beyond them — this extraordinary planet, and every living thing that calls it home.

Over my 13+ years of publishing stories and visuals focused on small space living, it’s been my pleasure and joy to usher millions of folks through lovingly crafted spaces ranging from a mere ~100 sqft to barely ~900 sqft. And while sharing tips about interiors often feels absurd these days, I truly believe it can serve a worthwhile purpose when done mindfully. Embracing smaller spaces, repurposing, sharing, choosing local / handmade / secondhand, and borrowing resources are all ways to look out for each other our one shared home.

Rightsizing is a newsletter geared towards folks who are interested in compat homes and gardens, communal living spaces, multigenerational living, co-stewardship, and life in — and with — a smaller footprint. Subscribing is like walking into our home (technically a guest house) or our <800 sqft tiny French farmhouse (which we bought with friends), but without the earsplitting racket caused by two kids and two dogs.

Paying subscribers will receive access to all of my newsletters and plenty of exclusive imagery.

Thank you for being here.
(Sorry about all the dog hair.)
